Air Asia has chosen Avis for the car rental bookings on this website. The car rental reservation is made between you and the Avis and is a separate transaction to that of your flight booking with Air Asia. Air Asia is therefore not acting as a travel agent and is therefore in no way liable for services provided by Avis.
The reservation itself does not result in the rental contract between you, the customer, and Avis. Avis simply forwards your booking to the respective Avis rental station. The rental contract comes into effect upon presenting your Air Asia Boarding Pass at the time of collection of the rental vehicle, between the respective Avis rental station and the customer. Avis standard conditions of rental, and in particular policy regarding the minimum age of the renting customer, who must be in possession of a valid driver's licence, also become conditions of this rental contract.
